Our Promises to You (A Guide for Students)

We want you to know what happens with your information (sometimes called "data") when you use 25MTC to practice your times tables.

This page can seem like a lot, but it's important. If you need help understanding what it means, please ask your parent, carer, or teacher. They will be happy to help!

Who Are We?

We are 25MTC! We made this website to help you get super fast at your multiplication tables.

Your teacher, parent, or carer signed you up so you could use this tool to practice. If you have any questions, they can contact us for you.

What Information Did Your Adult Give Us?

To create your account, the adult in charge gave us a little bit of information about you.

If you signed up through your **school**, your teacher probably gave us your first and last name, your class, and your school's name.
If you signed up as part of a **family**, your parent probably only gave us your first name.

This helps your adult see your scores on their dashboard so they can see how much you are improving!

What Information Do You Give Us When You Play?

When you take a test on 25MTC, we collect your answers and how fast you answer each question. We use this for two very important reasons:

To show you (and your adult) your score and how you are getting better over time.
To help our computer figure out which questions you find tricky. This way, we can give you more practice on those questions to help you become a times tables master!

Who Else Gets to See My Information?

Your Teacher or Parent: They can log in to their own dashboard to see your scores and progress.
The 25MTC Team: A very small number of people on our team can see the data to fix problems with the website and make it better.
Our Technology Partners: We use powerful, secure computers from companies like Google (Firebase) to store your information safely. They are not allowed to look at or use your information for their own purposes.

Sometimes, we might share numbers about how students learn (like the average score on the 7 times table), but we will **never, ever share your name** or any information that says who you are.

How Long Do You Keep My Information For?

We only keep your information for as long as your account is active.

If your school's or family's subscription ends, we will **permanently delete all your test scores and account information after 90 days**. Your teacher or parent will get a warning before this happens.

Your Information Belongs to You!

Even though we look after it, your information is still yours. The law gives you rights. If you want to do any of the things below, the first step is always to **talk to your adult (your teacher, parent, or carer)**, and they can help you contact us.

You can ask to see your info: You can ask for a copy of the information we have about you.
You can ask to fix your info: If your name is spelled wrong, your adult can get it fixed.
You can ask to delete your info: You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time.

What If Your Promises Change?

Sometimes, the law changes and we have to update this page. If we ever make a big change to these promises, we will be sure to let your adult know first.

What If I Need Help?

If you have any questions, the best person to ask is your teacher, parent, or carer. They can help explain things, and if they're not sure, they know how to contact us.
